REPORT: Dilli East Timor
Greetings from Dili!
It is a great blessing to once again bring a good report of what God has done here in Dili through the ministry of Pastor Ben Reddy and his team of 4 others from our fellowship church in Campbelltown NSW.
We thank them for their time and investment.
We have just completed a Wednesday to Sunday revival and as far as “statistics” go we saw 99 decisions for Christ, 6 filled with the Holy Ghost and many many bodies healed. A man by the name of Carlos was delivered from demon possession at the altar after being saved on Sunday morning. He was weeping at the altar and later when I spoke to him and prayed with him. I went to visit him on Tuesday with one of our disciples and he testified how he had
been to many churches, both Catholic and Christian looking for answers but had never
experienced what he did in our church when God touched him powerfully. What an incredible privilege we have as ambassadors for Christ!
Pastor Ben preached simple and powerful gospel sermons that connected with the people. For his first time preaching through an interpreter he looked like a pro!
Part of what made this impact team significant is that it is the first revival we have had in our new building, which is able to seat up to 200 people. Our highest attendance was 103 so we still had plenty of room, but we are praying and believing that because we did not have to use another venue to accommodate attendances we will see more fruit remain. Those who came know where to come back to and are more comfortable doing so because they have been before. Some have returned already on Wednesday night even though there was a tropical storm that evening. As we were in our own building this time it was also encouraging to see more of the regular church members attend multiple services.
We continue to thank God for our fellowship and the privilege of being a part of what He is building here in Dili.
